Members of the Carlisle Events team will be joined by clients from Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, Southampton Football Club, The Jockey Club and Brentford Football Club at the upcoming SGSA Conference 2022.

Taking place on Tuesday 24 May at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester, the event will address the key issues facing those involved in the sports and events sector, particularly around safety, security and service.

Speakers include:

Mark Clemmit, reporter on BBC’s Football Focus, who will be chairing the day for us.

Dr Jo Welford, from CFE Research, who us leading the evaluation of the current early adopters of licensed standing in seated areas.

Professor Geoff Pearson, speaking about the events in Wembley last year.

A focus of the conference will also be the introduction of licensed standing in seated areas – with the event taking place at one of the early adopter grounds. Attendees will therefore be able to hear first hand the experiences from the first few months of its implementation.

The SGSA Conference 2022 represents a crucial opportunity for stakeholders within our industry to meet and focus on the key operational and strategic requirements. Collaboration and sharing of best practice can only benefit us all. The industry has an all-encompassing responsibility to all our customers to deliver fantastic experiences in accessible, safe and secure venues.

From a Carlisle Support Services’ perspective it is great to see a number of clients attending the conference and we look forward to catching up with them all during the day.
