Hours - 42 average on roster shift pattern - (includes night shifts & weekends)

Rate of Pay : £8.83 per hour

Training and Responsibilities

The roll will include customer service and dispatching of trains at Manchester Piccadilly train station. You will need to be an ambassador for Carlisle Support Services always behaving in a professional manner, being courteous and polite at all times. Providing assistance to passengers as required. Training for Dispatch duties will be provided as detailed below.

You will be required to attend an assessment which will be in 3 parts and this will take around 3 hours.

First part of training will be a colour blindness test.

Second part will include train dispatch concentration/audio test.

Final part is rules acquisition aptitude test this is a speed test.

You must pass all parts to pass the assessment,you will then attend a training course for 1 week classroom based.

A further 2 weeks training will be required ,shadowing experienced dispatchers on the station you will then have one final assessment dispatching trains and answering questions around dispatching.

The roll is safety critical and does require a lot of concentration and excellent customer service skills.

There is a rota and you will be required to work night shifts on rolling rota.
