Job description

Covering front desk -

  • Meet and greet all visitors and staff to the building
  • Direct all visitors to the correct department location in the building
  • Vigilance with monitoring rough sleepers and any suspicious personnel
  • Keep an eye on the shop and look out for shop lifters
  • Wear body cam at all times
  • Move smokers away from the entrance ways
  • Assist with making the tenants use brolly bags in rainy weather
  • Be prepared to work nights
  • Be able to pass Home Office vetting
  • Make sure no contractors come through the public entrance and direct them to the loading bay

Loading bay duties -

  • Book in and out all vehicles
  • Check with the security manager for any contractors due on site
  • Sign for delivers for MITIE, Carlisle and MAPP
  • Be able to pass Home Office vetting
  • Check with control that all contractors have returned keys and access cards before letting them leave site

Patrol duties -

  • Patrol the building and reporting any faults that are found e.g lights out on external walkway
  • Cover breaks at specific times
  • Cover reception between 0700-0800
  • Assist with removing people causing trouble in the building
  • Ad-hoc tasks set by the client or the security manager
  • Respond to any incidents immediately
  • Patrol tenant floors twice during the night
  • Be able to pass Home Office vetting

CCTV control room duties -

  • Watch CCTV for any suspicious person/or accidents
  • Sign in scheduled contractors and make sure authorisation and permits have been issued by management
  • Issue out radios to staff and contractors
  • Issue out swipe card passes upon authorisation
  • Inform security manager and Building Manager over any incidents, leaks, unexpected road closures,
  • Inform the security manager of any blow outs or no shows of security staff
  • Make sure all keys and swipe cards issued back are returned before the end of shift, you will need to contact the person via their phone number provided
  • Be able to pass Home Office vetting
  • Let management know of any emergency services that come to site, which department they're going to and why
