Purpose Of Job:

Implement and manage company security policies and procedures in line with current contract, welfare of security personnel and maintain the security of the site/building in particular in relation to vehicle access. The working hours are Monday-Wednesday (03:30am-14:00pm) and Thursday-Friday (03.00am-14.00pm).

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • The role will involve mainly working outdoors in your designated area.
  • Due to the nature of the role, there will be regular face-to-face interaction with members of the public and high profile individuals.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Promoting and ensuring good road safety.
  • Pro-active.
  • Making sure all vehicles are checked and verified and are authorised to be at location to ensure security is not breached.
  • Team player with ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Installing traffic measures to suit the situation on the day, maintaining and creating a free flow of traffic to and from location.
  • Ensure effective engagement with all stakeholders in respect of vehicle traffic.

Operational in liaison with the rest of the team and client:

  • Implementation of security procedures and policy laid out in the Standard Operation Procedures.
  • Maintain and develop client relationship.
  • Liaison with internal departments and external agencies as and when required.
  • Regular communication with Security Management/Duty Supervisors on security issues.
  • High standard of personal presentation.
  • Provide a visible security presence to reassure staff and visitors.
  • Assist staff and visitors with enquiries wherever possible.
  • Assist with non-technical testing of emergency systems.
  • Undertake all reasonable requests made by the Security Supervisors, Site Security Manager or client.
  • All Incidents are fully recorded and reported.
  • Provide the correct response/assistance to incidents.

Available to cover shift at short notice in the event of sickness should you choose to do so.
