What you'll do:

As Excel Finance Modeller, you will be reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, your primary purpose will be to oversee, review and support pricing for new and current customers across all business units: Security, Cleaning, Retail and Events. This is a hybrid role and you will be based at our Luton Head Office for a minimum three days, with the option to work from home for two days.

Your Essential Responsibilities will involve these core elements:

  • To work in close conjunction with the Bid Management and Business Development teams to ensure that the Business Development Directors have correctly populated the latest version of the pricing model
  • To be responsible for accepting the pricing model from the relevant creator and taking it forward to the CEO/CFO for sign-off
  • Where possible, and applicable, to constructively challenge the proposed operational delivery model suggested for each contract tender, retender or client review
  • To ensure the latest version of the pricing model is available for all to use, checking it is regularly updated to reflect any regulatory changes or pricing changes relating to equipment or suppliers
  • To review client feedback on pricing of successful and unsuccessful bids and share insight with CSS bid team
  • Work closely with management accounts team to ensure annual client pricing reviews / increases are completed, reporting any delays or concerns to senior management
  • Maintain database of up-to-date contract pricing
  • Develop the Management Accountant's knowledge of pricing so they are capable of producing pricing for simpler bids and can assist with larger / complex tasks
  • To work closely with the management accounts team to ensure correct revenue accounting for all contracts Review financial performance of first 3 months of contract for new business wins, compared to pricing. Report notable differences to senior management and business development teams
  • Work with the CFO, CEO and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to develop the business's pricing policies, and a standardised pricing process and approach
  • To support the Management Accounts team during month end and other periods of increased workload
  • To work on ad hoc projects and tasks when needed to meet the demands of the business, and to provide support to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis as required

Experience / Qualifications/ Knowledge

  • Finance Modelling & Reporting
  • Experience of pricing contracts for Bids and Tenders ideally including Cleaning and Security service delivery
  • Experience in dealing directly with clients would be ideal
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
