Exciting Opportunity in Northampton

We are looking for Night Security officers to work at Brackmills distribution site, Northampton.

This is a permanent position offering 4 on, 4 off 12 hour night shifts (19.00pm-07.00am).

Responsibilities:

  • Arrive on time for all designated shifts and book onto shift in line with contractual requirements.
  • Wear provided uniform and PPE at all times on site.
  • Protect customers property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Patrols - checking site security responsibility for reporting any risks or problems.
  • Incident and fault reporting and completing stock removal forms
  • Health & Safety for site reporting any issues
  • Searches at main shift changes and other warehouse workers.
  • Using the intercom to open gates for the HGV lane, staff entrance/exit.
  • Booking vehicles in/out as they come onto, leave site.
  • Radioing through to goods in / out, then designating a bay.
  • Checking if they are delivery or collections - seals TIR cord attached.
  • Dealing with couriers, trailer swaps, contractors.
  • Dealing with driver issues - problems arising from SBD or external sources
  • Fire, intruder, pump house alarms.
  • Evacuation procedure
  • CCTV monitoring and logging patrols .
  • Booking in visitors and contractors in.
  • FLT tests, temperature checks.
  • PPE for visitors / contractors.
  • Escorting contractors if needed around site or to certain areas.
  • Dealing with unauthorised visitors/intruders and reporting threats to the site/colleagues.
  • Meet and greet at reception desk.
  • Building a rapport with site management and colleagues.

Key attributes of successful candidate

  • SIA licence holder.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Arrive on time for all designated shifts.
  • Ability to work nights (4 on, 4 off).
  • Able to travel to site.
  • Wear provided uniform and PPE at all times on site.
  • Be smart and courteous at all times.
  • Take responsibility for own continued professional development.
