Experienced security officers required to start in December 2022 to support the year-round team at The All-England Lawn Tennis Club to provide a world class guest experience for all (customers, visitors, members and staff) providing the highest levels of safety and security at our client's iconic world class venue and wider estate. Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of The Wimbledon Championships 2023 which is one the world's most prestigious sporting events as part of the team.
The All-England Lawn Tennis Club and its estate is entering a major phase of growth and development, further enhancing its already world-leading reputation and we, Carlisle Support Services, are looking for candidates of the highest calibre to help us develop a truly unique service for a truly unique client.
Purpose of the Role:
To always keep the AELTC estate and everyone on it 'Safe and Secure', and to help deliver a successful Championships through a robust security and first-class customer service provision.
What you'll do:
Provide 'best-in-class' security and customer service
12 hour and 8 hour day shifts (07.00am-19.00pm, 10.00am-22.00pm, 09.00am-17.00pm and 10am-18.00pm) including weekends as required.
Roles will be offered on a flexible basis (covering annual leave, additional staffing for events etc.) and successful candidates may be required to cover the position of mobile patrol officer (after completion of required training) to patrol and respond to alarms on any of the sites within the AELTC Estate (Church Road, Roehampton and Raynes Park).
The role is varied and while a high level of security and counter terrorism awareness are of primary importance. The position also requires excellent communication skills (spoken, written and IT literacy), customer service as well as the highest standards of personal presentation. A background in the hospitality or high-end corporate sectors is advantageous but not essential.
Officers will primarily be based at gatehouses around the perimeter of the venue/venues being the first point of contact. Officers will also be expected to conduct foot patrols throughout the quieter hours and will spend long periods on their feet.
- Good level of physical fitness.
- Confident and assertive.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and make swift, reasoned decision making under pressure.
- Flexible attitude to working hours and shift patterns and be willing to work full time hours.
- Full clean driving licence is an advantage as may be trained as a mobile patrol officer.
- Valid Door Supervisor SIA licence.
- Current first aid at work qualification a strong advantage.
SIA upskilling/emergency first aid will be provided if required on renewing licence
