We are currently looking for Professional, energetic and enthusiastic people who are interested in pursuing a career in Rail. We have opportunities for immediate vacancies for Gate-line Operators who are able to work in Blackburn.
The successful candidates will provide a highly visible presence at Blackburn supporting strategies aimed at reducing ticketless travel by ensuring customers possess valid tickets and ensuring the Automatic Tickets Gates are operated to the highest standards. The selling of tickets will also be required. The role will also involve checks of the car park and issuing Penalty Parking notices when required. As this is a customer facing role there may also be a requirement to provide support to customers who need help, particularly during times of disruption. The delivery of high standards of customer service is therefore a key skill for all of these roles. The issuing of Penalty Parking Notices for the station car park will also be required.
As an ambassador for both Carlisle Support Services and our prestigious client you must be able to demonstrate a 'can do' attitude, strong customer focus, excellent communication skills and a good standard of numeracy and literacy. You will be smart, well presented and happy to wear the uniform provided.

We have a range of available working shifts over 6 days per week with opportunities for overtime. The rates of pay will be between £10.90 after initial training has been completed.
Hours: Aprox 27.5hrs
Please note that applicants must be able to attend the station by 0530hrs for early shifts and work up to 2330hrs on late shifts so ideally should live locally.
