A key role within our Operations team: -

Based at our client site in Yeovil with some travel to a site in Bristol, the Site Security Manager will direct and develop the on-site security team, whilst working with the client to implement innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Site Security Manager will ensure we have strong resilience and capability across the team, to support this you will put in place a training and development plan to ensure all staff are fully compliant, whilst continuously developing their skills.

This is a high-profile site and your knowledge of the security sector; technology and the local community will be paramount in ensuring successful service delivery.

Operational- Contractual

  • Ensure service levels delivered adhere to our contract terms and client SLA's
  • Ensure protection of client personnel, assets, brand and profit via selection and deployment of best practice processes and motivated and highly trained personnel
  • Ensure sufficient levels of qualified and competent officers are maintained to meet the current and projected future levels of personnel required
  • Ensure service meets all stakeholder expectations, re-aligning services as needed and ensure all staff work in a professional and safe manner

Operational- Site Ops

  • Support the site operational requirements in leading the Security Teams and Front of House team, ensuring they are suitably developed, trained, briefed, ready and available to always carry out their roles and responsibilities
  • Maintain scheduling, Time and Attendance records, and holiday planning up to 6 months in advance
  • Conduct monthly site audits to ensure that all contract paperwork (DOB, Keys logs, post instructions, etc) is in place to confirm audit compliance
  • Manage team performance via our 1-1 process & conduct investigations and disciplinary action as required
  • Maintain the Client dashboard to include staff development and care visit records
  • Develop and arrange delivery of any specialist training and educational training including contractual requirements
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures in place are compliant with legislative and ISO 9002 requirements and that Carlisle' own controls are in place and up to date
  • To have a good understanding of all departmental operational functions

Compliance

  • Ensure all officers are deployed in line with the rigours of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 in terms of aligned licensing and training for officers and issues of screening for matters of safeguarding
  • Ensure all officers have safe systems of work for all tasks undertaken which are communicated and understood by all team members and documented as being so, carrying out regular risk assessments and security reviews
  • Complete regular audits across the team to ensure contract and legal compliance, and ensure any non-compliance is rectified and reported
  • Communicate Health and Safety processes and policies to all staff and ensure they remain adequately trained including contract specific training & PPE
  • Manage uniform stock, including on site back up stock holding

Financial & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly financial information for invoicing prior to client issues and deliver monthly KPI packs for client review
  • Conduct and document regular Health and Safety training audits and toolbox talks

To be successful in this role you will be an expert and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; an ability to influence at all levels across customer and stakeholders as well as their own team
  • Highly numerate and literate with an ability to write effective reports, letters, proposals, emails and maintain written/electronic logs
  • The interpersonal skills and ability to interact with differing personalities and leadership/management styles to build effective customer and team relationships at various levels
  • Practical, robust, 'hands on' leadership experience and abilities allied to the energy to overcome difficulties and offer innovative solutions while managing BAU
  • SIA Guarding Licence holder

Additional desirable skills

  • Experience of managing a complex and time critical contract
  • Flexibility with working hours when required (freedom from vulnerable public transport or long-distance commute)
  • Full UK Driving Licence holder
