The largest inward investor in the UK defence sector and one of the biggest suppliers of defence equipment to the UK MOD is looking for Support Security Guards for its helicopter division in Yeovil. Fully funded SIA training available for suitable candidates.

Carlisle Support Services are looking for reliable and professional Support Security Guards to provide planned and short notice cover for a high profile MOD site. This will be for a minimum of 30 hours.

Requirements:

  • To be available for 1 week paid training prior to commencement.
  • To pass UK Security Clearance for an MOD site, and therefore will need to be UK National.

This is a unique opportunity to top up a pension or simply earn some extra money.

Operational Duties:

  • To professionally greet clients and visitors to the highest standard.
  • To assist in co-ordinating the day to day running of the site, entrance/exits and liaising with staff and visitors to ensure all relevant information is communicated correctly and efficiently.
  • Must be able to respond immediately to all alarms including BMS, Fire & Intruders.
  • Adhere to a strict patrol programme designed to deny intruders who may interfere with daily operations.
  • Work closely under supervision of the operations team.
  • You will follow the mantra Detect, Deter, Observe & Report
  • Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
  • Report in detail any suspicious incidents.

Person specification:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • SIA DS licence (fully funded SIA training will be provided for suitable candidates).
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Excellent reliability and time management skills.
  • Be able to work on a monitored radio network with excellent voice and radio procedures.
  • Smart in appearance.
