New initiative with Crimestoppers Trust at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust

Carlisle and Crimestoppers have been working in partnership over the last 12 months to support the NHS in new initiatives aimed at reducing crime. The launch of this campaign is focused on providing staff, patients and visitors with the facility to report crime-related activities within any NHS trust location – whilst allowing them to remain anonymous in doing so.

Crime reduction within the Healthcare sector is crucial to every NHS trust, helping to protect and maintain the safety and well-being of the trust’s staff, visitors and property. The aim is to support NHS trusts with crime reduction by providing marketing materials, awareness days, and, of course, a free phone line and online form for anonymous reporting. We will be running this pilot over the next three months within three trust locations.

The support of this campaign by Paul Smith at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust allows them to lead the way as being the first trust to implement this scheme.
