Chief Executive Officer
Joining Carlisle Support Services in 2015 as Managing Director, and promoted to CEO in January 2019, Paul has overseen the transformation of the business across more recent times. With a career spanning the last two decades in the facilities management sector, and having worked his way up from the front-line, he is extremely passionate about making sure our business strategy remains aligned to our employee-led and customer-centric values.
As CEO, Paul leads our experienced senior team at Carlisle, and we are very proud to have an enviable portfolio of many of the UK’s leading brands and organisations. An operational and commercially focused leader, Paul ensures that Carlisle continues to deliver on their commitment to being the industry’s ‘most trusted partner’, which it does by being completely transparent and honest in all that it does.
In addition, Paul is also the Co-Chair of the Living Wage Foundation Recognised Service Provider’s Leadership Group, and is an Executive Officer of the National Association of Healthcare Security (NAHS).
Chief Financial Officer
Guy recently joined Carlisle Support Services as CFO to work alongside Paul Evans, the Senior Leadership Team and Non Exec’s, providing strategic financial input to support the continued growth and development of the business. An experienced finance business partner, Guy has been working within the Outsourced Services sector for over 20 years, in businesses ranging from US listed multinationals to start up ‘buy and build’ organisations.
Ten years ago Guy joined Norland Managed Services, a specialist Mechanical and Electrical FM provider as Divisional FD. Following the company’s sale to CBRE Inc three years later, he took on the role as Finance Director for the Managed Services business, overseeing the transition from a UK, entrepreneurial business to being part of highly regulated US listed business. The business continued to grow during that period from revenues of £450m in 2013, to £1.8bn in 2020.
A commercially focused financial professional he also has system and controls implementation experience, knowledge of Plc standard reporting and M&A experience.
Chief Operating Officer
Adrian has been involved in the support services sector for over 20 years, where he has built and sustained market-leading businesses in the outsourced services sector. The key focus he maintains is to see things through the eyes of the customer and front-line employees.
Adrian will hold overall responsibility for our Security, Cleaning, Retail and Events operations, focused on delivering a long term operating strategy that address the current market challenges whilst delivering a sustainable and consistent approach to service delivery across the board. He has vast experience working with a wide range of blue-chip clients and has experience across a range of sectors and service lines. Having started his career on the shop floor within the retail sector, Adrian has a natural affinity with our front-line employees and ensures he spends dedicated time with his teams.
In his spare time, Adrian is also a Trustee of a Multi Academy Trust in Northampton.
Managing Director – Cleaning and Vegetation
Alex specialises in the development and delivery of cost effective cleaning and soft services solutions for our clients, in particular within the Transport sector. He has a strong and proven track record in this sector having work with a broad range of UK transport businesses on a variety of projects.
His project work is underpinned by his extensive experience and knowledge of the daily operational challengers of service operations management, having operated a significant number of contracts during his career. He has recently completed an MSc in Facilities and Environmental Management at UCL to further enhance and expand his knowledge of service operations management and the broader challenges facing the facilities management sector.
Managing Director – Security and Events Merseyside
Martin has worked for Carlisle since 2001 when he joined as part of an acquisition to grow Carlisle’s penetration into the transport facilities sector. He joined as a General Manager and has fulfilled a number of different roles in his time within the business including Managing Director, Operations Director, Strategic Account Director, and Commercial Director.
He has been responsible for the growth of the North West region over the past two decades with the additions of many blue-chip clients including Merseytravel, Merseyrail, Liverpool City Council, Liverpool Football Club, UK Supreme Court, Arriva Rail London, Abellio Greater Anglia, Manchester Metrolink, Docklands Light Railway, and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. His transport background has led to the delivery of a number of sector-based innovations like RSAS Accreditation, body-worn surveillance (introduced in 2009) and Zone-IT, as well as the new FLEET (Front Line Empathy and Enforcement Training) package.
Martin has also developed a number of service development initiatives to enhance frontline competence and operational efficiency including RSAS and CSAS Accreditation, Mental Health First Aid and Wellbeing Strategy and the NFC based Zone-IT which delivers colour coded compliance to the rail sectors LANDSEC regimes.
Managing Director – Security North
Steve joined Carlisle in 2010 as an Area Manager within our Cleaning Division, taking responsibility for delivering multiple services for a key client within Rail. Prior to this, Steve had spent 11 years developing his skills and experience in operational management working with Virgin Trains in the privatised rail industry. This experience has proven to be invaluable, allowing Steve the opportunity to develop longstanding relationships across a number of key accounts as his career with Carlisle has progressed.
In 2017, Steve moved into our Security Division to successfully head up a major contract with Northern Trains, whilst spearheading the implementation of security and counter terrorism regimes at high footfall city centre locations including major transport hubs and corporate office buildings. Prioritising the need to capture and understand the individual needs of every client, Steve has demonstrated a consistent, solution-oriented approach, working flexibly and collaboratively with his team. More recently Steve has taken on additional responsibilities as the Head of Operations for Security, now newly promoted to our Managing Director for the North division.
In 2021, Steve was selected to become a member of The Security Institute, the largest professional membership body for security professionals in the UK.
Director of Marketing and Business Development
Nicole joined Carlisle Support Services in 2016 and is responsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational Marketing and Business Development activities. With a true passion for communicating our company mission, vision, and values, she oversees the creation and delivery of our internal and external communication and digital strategies.
To allow the bid management function to deliver, Nicole provides leadership and guidance to internal stakeholders on best practices, implementation and strategy bid development.
With 27 years of experience within the HR remit, Suzanne is a focused senior HR professional with proven experience in developing and implementing people strategies to improve business performance. With a passion for continuous development and ensuring employees are given the right channels of support in their daily roles, Suzanne impact on the implementation and TUPE process for new contracts is invaluable.
Health and Safety Director
As our Health and Safety Director, Andrew provides ‘value added’ professional and technical support across the organisation, working closely with the Executive and Senior Management Team.
Andrew strategically promotes and delivers all aspects of health, safety, and compliance, managing accreditations, internal and external audits, and ensuring that the business complies with all statutory and legal obligations including compliance with the Private Security Industry Act 2001.
With extensive experience gained from senior roles with GEOAmey and Premier Support Services, Andrew has developed strong technical HSQE and compliance across complex multi-industrial environments and will continue to lead a robust Health, Safety, Quality and Environment strategy for Carlisle, providing strategic leadership to drive effective risk management throughout our operations.
Non-Executive Director for Counter Terrorism and Risk
In 2021, Carlisle Support Services invested to appoint a strategic lead to ensure compliance and moral alignment with the forthcoming Protect Duty. As former UK Counter Terrorism National Coordinator, Nick will not only be leading an internal strategy within Carlisle but develop the knowledge and skills held within the front-line operations and aiding our customers ensuring that they are best informed as to how they can proportionately prepare for the Protect legislation and Terror related activity.
Previously, Nick was London’s CT protective security and preparedness lead during the 2017 terrorist attacks, responsible for coordinating the police and other emergency service responses to those incidents, as well as supporting the private sector to make themselves stronger. He oversaw the coordination of security for 600 events a year in London and was head of practice for the CT Security Advisor network in London.
On retirement, Nick joined forces with Figen Murray and Brendan Cox to campaign for the UK Protect Duty, and he was the author of the proposal on which the government has recently consulted.
Head of Legal
Rebecca has been working in-house for almost nine years across various industries in the commercial and public sector. Most recently, at Connected Places Catapult who operate predominantly across the transport sector and focus on research and innovation.
Having completed her studies at the University of Law, Rebecca specialises in Commercial and Contract Law. She brings a wealth of knowledge to her role as Head of Legal, with extensive expertise across a range of commercial, operational, and legal practices.
Rebecca has a passion for health and fitness and enjoys travelling frequently. She is also a member of the In-House Lawyers Association.
