In July, for the fourth year in a row, our Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Security Team and CSS management laced up their running shoes and took to the London streets to take part in the Saucony London 10K. In honour of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH), the money raised will help fund life-changing care, family support, and child-friendly spaces.
Brought together by the passion to raise money for the charity year on year, as GOSH’s Security partner, our Security Team and Executives recognise the incredible work that GOSH completes daily for ill children to provide them with the childhoods that they deserve, away from their illnesses.
On this year’s team was CEO, Paul Evans; COO, Adrian White; Head of Operations, Yameen Choudhry; GOSH Contract Manager, Fahad Amir; BBC StudioWorks contract manager, Taiyib Henry; and GOSH Security Officers, Arshad Ali and Ahmed Khan, who were all excited to take on the challenge.
This year’s course took 17,000 runners alongside London’s most famous and recognisable landmarks, such as Westminster Bridge, The London Eye, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus and Big Ben, with the team ultimately becoming seven of the 13,000 finishers of the race that ended near Downing Street.
After incredible efforts, our team have raised over £2500 for the charity, which will go towards providing better care for the unwell children and their families who use the hospital as a lifeline. Even more impressively, after four years, the team have raised over £7000 since they started this annual fundraising effort in 2022.
Congratulations to the team once again!
