Carlisle Support Services is delighted to sponsor the Railway Children Safeguarding Champions Event, an evening dedicated to celebrating the exceptional work of safeguarding champions across the UK rail industry. This partnership reflects our long-standing commitment to protecting vulnerable children and fostering safer communities.
The Safeguarding Champions Event is taking place on Thursday 16th October in Manchester, the event goes beyond a celebration and serves as a platform for learning, recognition, and collaboration. It brings together safeguarding leads, industry partners, and champions to share insights, celebrate successes, and strengthen the network of professionals dedicated to protecting children.
As part of sponsorship, Carlisle is not only contributing but is actively participating in the event. The company will have 15 team members in attendance, a dedicated speaking slot to highlight the importance of safeguarding, will present the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Safeguarding’ award. Through these roles, Carlisle is showcasing its support in amplifying the voices of champions and driving tangible impact in the safeguarding community.
Steve Cere, Director of Rail Strategy at Carlisle Support Services, mentioned:
“Supporting Railway Children’s Safeguarding Champions Event allows us to shine a spotlight on the incredible work being done across the rail industry to protect young people. Sponsoring this event gives our team the opportunity to engage directly, celebrate achievements, and contribute to the development of future safeguarding leaders.”
This partnership builds on Carlisle’s previous collaborations with Railway Children, notably the Three Peaks Challenge, a fundraising initiative that saw the company’s senior leaders and employees go above and beyond to support vulnerable young people across UK, India, and Tanzania. The challenge not only raised significant funds but also strengthened the shared mission between Carlisle and Railway Children to create positive outcomes for children across the country and beyond.
Through this meaningful sponsorship, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to safeguarding, empowering young people, and fostering meaningful collaboration across the rail industry, proving that corporate partnerships can drive real-world impact.
Stay tuned for further event updates, and stories as we count down to an inspiring evening with Railway Children and our safeguarding champions.
